Why I’m a Steward: I’ve lived in Eden Prairie since 2001 and feel fortunate to have access to such wonderful parks, natural areas, and open spaces. These critical areas deserve to be protected and restored and I’m happy to be part of the team doing this work! The trail around Rice Marsh Lake has always been one of my favorites. The mature maple-basswood forest south of the lake is stunning but needs to be protected from encroaching buckthorn and other invasives.

Surveying- investigate and survey areas of park for garlic mustard concentrations
Garlic Mustard- remove garlic mustard from identified areas
Fall-Winter
Buckthorn- cut and remove buckthorn from areas near trail
